Expect Mud—Yes, Really

This is the part we’re extra glad we planned for.

Because Yuletide Village is held on natural grounds, mud can be a major factor, especially if there’s been recent rain, melting snow, or a warm spell during winter.

When we attended, there was a lot of mud throughout the grounds and parking areas. Many guests were carefully navigating walkways, and several cars became stuck in the parking areas.

There was even a tow truck company on site helping vehicles get unstuck, which tells you just how common this can be in certain conditions.

Parking Tips to Keep in Mind

• Parking is free, but it’s on grassy or natural surfaces
• Muddy conditions can make it difficult for some vehicles to get traction
• If possible, consider:
  • Wearing boots you don’t mind getting muddy
  • Bringing a change of shoes for the drive home
  • Carpooling or choosing a vehicle with better ground clearance
