Our Story

We’re Joe and Melissa—an adventure-loving married couple based in Cleveland, Ohio, proving that it’s never too late to explore somewhere new.

We met online playing video games, got married in 2017, and have been chasing experiences together ever since. With no kids at home and three wonderful grandkids cheering us on, we’ve leaned into a season of life that gives us the freedom to say yes to adventure—both close to home and far beyond it.

By day, we both work full time. Joe is an MRI coil technician, and Melissa teaches Pre-K, but outside of work hours you’ll usually find us planning our next escape. We share our apartment with our orange cat, Rugby, who supervises all trip planning (mostly from a sunny window).

Our travels are fueled by curiosity and a love of variety. We’re drawn to Renaissance festivals, camping trips, scenic outdoor spaces, quirky local shops, and places that offer something a little different. Whether it’s a weekend road trip, a hidden gem in our own city, or a brand-new destination, we believe adventure doesn’t have to wait for “someday.”

We bond over video games, movies, rock music, and the thrill of discovering new places together. This blog is where we share our journeys, favorite finds, and the moments that remind us why exploring—together—matters most.
